CRESCENT GARDEN TEA PARTY. What a great set this was for kids to play with. This set in general is full of problems. Metal fatigue on the table, brittle legs on the chairs and distortion of the umbrella. All this was packed into a great box with no room to spare.Having said all that, the tea and cakes were great.

CRESCENT FARM PERSONELL. Many of the items produced suffered from metal fatigue.

CRESCENT NEW YORK COPS. This is a great set, certainly for the USA market. These figures are unique to this set. I have seen the odd figure for sale in the USA. Does anyone have more information??

CRESCENT LARGE MILK BAR SET. I bought this set from the USA, It is a much larger set than the one issued for the UK. Again the main enemy is metal fatigue. Has anyone seen these larger sets??

Can anybody direct me to a list of models made by the Crescent toy company?

I am particularly looking for information - model No., production date, etc. for the Scammel Scarab cab with Low loader.

I am not aware of any. There's 2 pages in Ramsay's guide relating to Crescent Toys. There's also a Crescent section in Norman Joplin's Great Book of Hollow-cast figures but this doesn't cover the motor vehicles.

The following is in Ramsay re the Scammel with Low loader

model no. 1274
production 1954 - 1959
value 100-150

This also came in a set with the box trailer

Hope this helps

Thanks Peter.
It certainly does help - at least I now have a model number to reference and a rough idea of its age.

It surprises me that, considering Crescent models are so collectable, there is so little information about them knocking about.

Hi Paul,

were you ever able to come up with any info on the scammel? I came across one today at a local flea market. The item here has been coupled with a Shell tanker but the coupling is missing at least some sort of pin and just does not appear to be correct.Did you come across any photos on the net that might be of some assistance?

Cheers,

Dave.
