945

The issue date is not 1966 but February 1967 as indicated by the M.M. On this one both Ramsay and Force are wrong.

The second entry for this model is not necessary as the only difference is a transfer on the tank.

Available with two different types of hubs, the man holes strip can be black, grey or white.

QUESTION : has this reference been issued without jewelled headlights ?

Most double entries are not necessary. When discussing a model, the discussion often covers all the variations and one does not know in which entry one should post the message. It also makes it difficult to go back to a specific point of discussion.

What do the other members think about this problem of multi entries ?

Should they be deleted ?

I agree there should be one thread per model. A small problem does come with those that had multiple numbers, so perhaps there should, be one thread per number.

Also Nigel has set up a thread for each 28 series van. I doubt we will be that many so perhaps there should just be one thread per type 28/1, 28/2 etc. This would greatly simplify the commercial vehicles threads.

Also Boats and Ships are different. There are quite a few ships listed under boats.

Hi Peter, we are in the wrong thread, but it does not matter.

Models with multiple numbers can be dealt with. The link from each number can lead to the same discussion page.

As for the difference between boat and ship, please tell me the difference.

The same as the difference as between a car and a bus.

A boat is a small vessel for travelling over water, a ship is a large boat.

In the context of this site, there are threads for boats and ships. Nigel set up separate threads although as neither is large they perhaps should be consolidated. I have posted some items in the ships threads (51 and 52 series) and later discovered that Christian had already posted some ships under boats.

Has any body got one of these with the stick on grille? I know that it is unlikely but I just want to check.

Contrary to what some books say (GBDT, A2Z, Force), the stick on grille is the early one.
