The rarest Ford D 800 is the 449 Johnston Road sweeper with square headlights and black or silver modified front grille made for only a few months in 1979. It seems that this truck with fixed cab doors has been made with smooth roof, later ribbed which would make three variations for this reference. If any one is lucky enough to own one of these, I would very much appreciate pictures to add to the above picture. Thanks. |

Dear Luis, Many thanks for these pictures, I have recently purchased one of these D 800 with rectangular headlights but mine has a black grille. One of your pictures will soon be incorporated on the DVD. |

Dear Luis, Thank you for this picture. The trucks n° 1 and 2 are ref. 451 with the smooth roof and opening doors. Number 1 is the earliest with the jewelled headlights. The next 3 are ref. 449 with non opening doors and ribbed roof. To be in chronological order, you should swap n° 3 and 4. Are n° 4 and 5 exactly the same except for the colour ? I would very much appreciate by email a large photo of the front of n° 3, 4 and 5 to add to the DVD. |
